This is my intro page on Climbfind - my rock climbing network. I originally conceived the idea based on addressing the niche need of helping people find new climbing partners in 2008 when I was living & consulting in London, UK. Climbfind is a new breed of social networking site. I believe we're going to see it copied all over the internet in coming couple of years. It's new/different because unlike facebook it actually INTRODUCES you to people and helps you build new social circles based on geography & interest.
Big news is our new branding is completed!
The current site (which I made 2 years ago) is a hand-crafted social network built from the groud up on Preview 4 of Asp .net MVCv1! Right now I'm super busy developing a whole new site with the help of over 100 Climbfind volunteers to be released this April / May. The new site is built ontop of SqlServer2008R2, Asp .net MVC3, jquery/jqueryUI, Lucnene .net & Bing Maps Ajax7, (Odata) WCF Data Services & Windows Identity Foundation. We're also releasing apps for iPhone, Andriod & Blackberry in the near future.
